Attributed to Jan Van den Hoecke (1611-1651). Oil on canvas "Virgin and Child". Inscribed top left "Cyburtine 2". Label on the reverse with a number "975". Old restorations. One version of this composition is in the Musée de Tessé in Le Mans as Jan van den Hoecke and studio; another was sold at the Dorotheum in Vienna on 11 November 2021, no. 279 (120 x 99 cm), as by Jan van den Hoecke (1611-1651). A third was sold at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels on 15 May 1941, no. 130 (112 x 69 cm), as by Adam van Noordt. The sibyl is holding the infant Jesus on her lap, having announced his arrival. The text on the phylactery reads: Invisibile verbum palpatibur". Expert: Cabinet Turquin. 105x72 cm
