Paul Bonaventure - Creative Photographer
Paul Bonaventure, photographer-creator, is the first to occupy the gallery's walls. This 93-year-old artist has been passionate about photography since 1953 (I'll let you do the maths...). He has therefore closely followed the evolution of the discipline, techniques and styles, from silver to the latest digital technology. He is exhibiting for the first time in his career, after having participated in many national and international photography competitions and having won some nice medals and distinctions. He uses all kinds of techniques which you will discover in detail during the exhibition. Focusing on the play of light, which he considers the central point of his art, the artist shows us his vision of the world through compositions combining natural elements and manufactured objects, as a proof of the possible balance between nature and our humanity. The HVL Gallery opens its doors
We are pleased to announce the opening of our modern and contemporary art gallery which will be managed by our son, Simon. Located in Verviers, opposite the Hôtel des ventes, we will be organising exhibitions of artists from different worlds. Our ambition is to make this space a place of culture and encounter. Friends from Verviers, from the province of Liège, from all over Belgium and even from elsewhere, we are waiting for you to come and discover the artists we will be presenting.
